Rachel Avila, the Collin County Meals on Wheels Community Engagement Coordinator, will speak at a Melissa Rotary sponsored luncheon tomorrow, open to residents of Melissa. Rachel is excited to share all the ways Meals on Wheels is combating hunger and isolation in the senior community. Rachel is responsible for developing strategies to promote community engagement through volunteerism. This fits right in with the Melissa Rotary Club vision to promote service efforts in vital areas of our growing community. The Club does this is by developing partnerships in a joint effort to strengthen the community.
This Thursday at 12:00 noon Rotary will host this luncheon at the Crossland Learning Center (the red building) at the Melissa ISD headquarters, 1904 Cooper Street, Melissa, TX 75454.
