On Thursday evening Sept 22nd we will have our High School Principal, Kenneth Wooten share with us.
Kenneth grew up in Nacogdoches Texas and is the youngest of 3 siblings. He spent most of his childhood and teenage years playing baseball, football, and running track. After graduating from Nacogdoches high school in 1987 he went on to play baseball for a short time at East Texas Baptist University. He later finished his bachelors and masters degrees at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Kenneth is married to Julie who is a history teacher and has one son, Ryan, who works in Sports Marketing with the Frisco Roughriders baseball organization.
After college Kenneth began his career in education where he's spent 29 wonderful years. 10 of those years as a teacher and coach and the last 19 in campus administrative roles. He is currently serving in his 7th year as the principal of Melissa High School.
On September 29th we will have Dennisha Denney come and speak to us on Personal Growth.
She is the owner/broker of RE/MAX 3D Real Estate, the number one brokerage in Hunt County, based on sales volume, with three office locations in Greenville, Royse City and Farmersville. Dennisha started her independent brokerage in the middle of the Great Recession of 2009. She often says if you can survive the recession, you can survive anything. COVID gave us all a run for our money, but Dennisha led her team of 27 agents through uncharted waters, resulting in the highest production in the brokerage's history. She and business partner Drew Myers recently founded Onward Adventures, a company dedicated to unlock radical change in seekers who crave to make an impact in their lives that will ignite a ripple effect in other lives as well. One of her life mottos is simple and powerful: “If you want something, you figure it out.” Dennisha will inspire you to reflect on your own life and see what you need to “figure out” to achieve where you want to go in your own life.
Last week we had a very good discussion on our Strategic plan led by Ken Truax. We all submitted our thoughts on our Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Challenges. We also provided some desired characteristics and 3 to 5 goals to put into the plan.
