One Health Program Coordinator

She will be talking about their women’s health community education project. They always have ongoing financial need for that project and the five Kyrgyz women who work with me as local health trainers. In addition to personally being a veterinarian, she is also certified Bradley Method childbirth educator, and within women’s health issues, She is most passionate about pregnancy and birth. They are hoping to start a new doula project this fall, and this would probably be the main focus of her presentation, to discuss how this project would improve maternal and infant outcomes.

Announcements

On August 4th we will be meeting at the Collin County Meals on Wheels location at 600 N. Tennessee in McKinney to put together Breakfast bags. It will be a 1:00 start time and we will skip the Thursday meeting the next day.

Last week's actions

Last week our speaker needed to cancel at the last minute so we shared Happy Dollar announcements and learned about Craig Neal’s trip to Oshkosh Air Show via his at least 25 year old aircraft. We also discussed some of the items that the Board discussed at their resent meeting.

Member of the Month

Our Member of the Month is Michael Schell who join our club just prior to Covid-19. Michael works as a Data analysis and lives in the Villages behind the Melissa School complex. In the picture below is the day Michael joined the Club. Michael is now supporting the Flag Software and works a Flag route. Well done Michael!
