On Thursday 1-12 we will conduct our first lunch meeting at 12:00. Please invite a guest to join you. Lunch will be catered lunch by Sugar Babes. RSPV to Ken Truax with you and your guest’s lunch choice. Members will be required to pay $10.00 to Club Treasurer Judy Dobbs at the beginning of the meeting. Invited friends will receive free lunch paid for by Melissa Rotary Club. Please indicate your preference for lunch (Ham, Turkey or Chicken Salad sandwich). Also indicate, in advance, who your guests will be (include name, food preference). RSVP to Ken by Monday Jan 9th

On Thursday 1-19 we will be conducting a Club meeting. Ken will be presenting our Vision and Mission for the next few years. The discussion will include goals and objective for the coming years along with community feed back Ken has collected. Plan on stepping up to roles and responsibilities for the committees that will execute the goals. Help move our club forward as we impact the community in a positive way.
Last week we met at the Melissa Cemetery to pick up the wreaths the community laid on graves to show respect to our veterans. John did his best to plan for cold weather but was unable to match the prior year for cold. It was brisk, but manageable. After the pickup we gathered at Sugar Babes for coffee and doughnuts to warm up. Thanks to all who came to help. Thanks also to the UMC for allowing us to use their dumpster for the wreaths, saving the club the dump fee at the County Dump.
