On March 17th our speaker will be Nicole Calhoun. Nicole is a high-energy and results-oriented professional who has worked with diverse multi-cultural teams around the world. She brings 25 years of corporate and technology experience to her training workshops. Nicole’s technical experience includes enterprise level technology systems with such roles as Software Engineering, Business Systems Analysis, Project Management, and Technology Controls & Risk. Her industry knowledge includes Financial Services, Merchant Services, Retirement Services, Payroll Processing, Manufacturing and Automotive. On March 24th we will be having or Rotary after Work at 7:00 PM. Our speaker will be Alex Johnson, president of the Plano West Club and Business Coach. He will be speaking on how to grow a business. His presentation takes the mystery out of growing a business, whether it’s a $40m firm, $1m company, solo entrepreneur, or startup. Our members will come away with tangible nuggets for their business. We know how business owners struggle to be productive because they are putting out fires? As a business coach, he uses his organizational skills and proven processes to help businesses define their vision and organize operations to grow profits and have more free time.

Last week we met at Sugar Babes for donuts and fellowship. We discussed the proposed approach to the Scholarships and the proposed Memorial for Service men who died during active duty. Both proposals will be reviewed by the board for action and club approval.
Our Member of the Month is Ken Truax. Ken Truax has moved to Melissa from New Mexico to be closer to family. He and his wife attend Our Savior Lutheran Church and are active volunteers. Ken works at the Melissa Community Outreach and has helped at Meals on Wheels in McKinney. Ken has a heart for service and is excited to be a part of the Melissa Rotary. The picture below is at the Melissa Library where Ken worked with a team of Rotarians putting together some new computer desks for the library.
