The Melissa Rotary Club and volunteers supported the community and City Parks Department by spreading huge piles of new mulch under playgrounds and trees on Saturday, October 1st.
The Melissa City Parks Department is responsible for maintaining 7 parks in addition to the Z-Plex sports facilities.  Three of the parks have playground facilities - Zadow Park, Bob Miller Park, and Hunters Ridge Park.  Due to its publicity campaign, the Melissa Rotary Club recruited additional volunteers to help the small Melissa City Parks department spread the piles of new mulch at Hunters Ridge and Bob Miller Parks, finishing up Bob Miller Parks before 10am on a Saturday morning.
