This Thursday, the Melissa community is invited to a unique lunch-time opportunity.  
The Rotary Club is sponsoring a world-renowned speaker who will bring humor and learning, providing those who attend with loads of ideas for improving their educational and professional environment.  
 
The lunch will be held at the Crossland Learning Center (the red building) at the Melissa ISD headquarters, 1904 Cooper Street, Melissa, TX 75454.

The former Louisiana Teacher of the Year, Dr. Debbie Silver, has dedicated her life to helping others understand learning and achievement in 49 states, as well as North and Central America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Africa, and Asia. 
 
Through her research and outreach, Dr. Silver seeks to help individuals find joy and greater efficacy in their work.  She has spent 30 years as a teacher, staff development instructor, and university professor, and is deeply familiar with life's challenges.  She helps others better understand and improve their environment by connecting on a more meaningful level.
